Snake-Rtro — Privacy Policy

Last updated: v1.0

Snake-Rtro is a free, single-player game. This policy explains what data is (and isn't) collected when you install and play it.

Data we store ourselves

An anonymous, locally-generated device ID, your best scores per difficulty, your D-pad layout choice, and (if you pause) a snapshot of your in-progress run. All of this lives only in the app's private on-device storage. We never see it, and it is never uploaded to any server we operate — Snake-Rtro has no backend of its own.

Ads (Google AdMob)

Snake-Rtro shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner on the menu and pause screens, and an occasional full-screen interstitial. This is the only reason the app requests internet access, and Google's ad SDK is the only third-party code included.

Google's ad SDK can collect an advertising identifier and other technical data (device information, coarse location inferred from IP, ad interaction data) to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's User Consent Policy. Where legally required (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions), the app asks for your consent via Google's User Messaging Platform before showing personalized ads; if you decline, you'll still see ads, but non-personalized ones.

What we don't collect

We never ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or photos, and we have no way to identify you as a person — only your device, via the anonymous local ID described above.

Children

Snake-Rtro is not directed at children under 13 as a matter of marketing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us using the details below and we will address it.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes everything described above. There is no cloud backup, so nothing can be "deleted on request" beyond that — it's already gone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new "last updated" date above.
