Data Deletion

ExpensO - The Expense Organiser stores your data on your device and has no server-side account. There is nothing for the developer to delete on your behalf, because the developer holds none of your data. You delete everything yourself, in seconds.

1. Erase everything inside the app

1. Open ExpensO - The Expense Organiser → Settings.
2. Tap Erase everything.
3. Confirm, and pass the biometric / device-credential check.

This wipes every transaction, budget, savings goal, recurring rule, attachment, and setting, deletes this device's local sync log, and destroys the encryption keys in the secure hardware. It cannot be undone.

2. Remove the app

Uninstall ExpensO - The Expense Organiser from your device. On Android this also removes the app's private, encrypted storage.

3. If you used encrypted cloud sync

The encrypted sync files live in your own Google Drive, in a private application-data folder.

1. Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions.
2. Select ExpensO - The Expense Organiser and choose Remove access. This also deletes the app-data folder ExpensO - The Expense Organiser created.
3. Optionally, before revoking, use ExpensO - The Expense Organiser → Settings → Export all my data if you want a copy first.

4. If you used Wi-Fi peer-to-peer sync

Peer-to-peer sync writes only to your other devices. Repeat steps 1–2 on each device to erase its copy.

5. Nothing else exists

ExpensO - The Expense Organiser has no analytics store, no backups, no logs, and no third-party processors holding your data. After steps 1–4 no copy of your ExpensO - The Expense Organiser data remains anywhere.
